Pipe Welding prepares the
student for the transmission pipe welding and
process pipe welding industries. Graduates will
be prepared to work in chemical and refining
facilities as well as nuclear plants. The
skills learned during this course will allow
the student to pass stringent pressure piping
welding requirements on carbon steel pipe in
the 6G position on both schedule 40 and
schedule 80 6" pipe.
The primary welding processes in this program
are SMAW (stick) and GTAW (TIG), and
pipefitting layout.
